Thanks to everyone who came out for our Wet / Fresh Hop IPA tasting this pastThursday!  We enjoyed getting to share this special style with everyone.  Wet / Fresh Hop IPAs are brewed right when hops are hitting their peak growth and put into the kettle as directly off of the bine as possible.  This allows brewers to impart even more hop flavor and aroma thanks to all of the oils still in the hops.

Due to customer demand and the upcoming holidays, we’ve added a small selection of wine to our shelves.  We don’t know much about wine but have taken suggestions from several of our good friends and hope you’ll give them a shot.  Stop by, grab a bottle, and let us know what you think.  A few of  the wines we picked up are Peirano Estate “Six Clones” Merlot, Newton Chardonnay (Red Label), and Moss Roxx Lodi Ancient Vine Zinfandel.

Join us this upcoming Friday, November 6th, from 5-7 PM for a tap takeover featuringRevelry Brewing out of Charleston!  This small 10 barrel brewery has been churning out hit after hit and has quickly become a favorite down near the coast in the year that they’ve been open.  We’ll have 4 of their tasty beers on tap to help show everyone just how unique, creative, and delicious their beer is.

We’ve got one more tap takeover planned for 2015 and it’s one you won’t want to miss – Allagash Brewing!  Join us on December 11th from 5-7 PM and help us welcome their rep Les Addis to Crafted.  We’ll have 4 killer kegs on tap in a huge range of styles.  Stop by and see what this great northeastern brewery is all about!

We’re excited to be able to help fill your beer needs now and in the future.  If you’ve got any beer suggestions or ideas, or any feedback, we would love to hear it!  Keep an eye out for more emails in the future with updates about events, new beers, new kegs, and more!  If you’d like daily updates and information about kegs as they’re tapped, make sure to like us on Facebook or follow us on Twitter.

Thanks again,

Thanks to everyone who joined us this past Thursday evening for our Brooklyn Brewery tasting!  This classic brewery doesn’t get enough recognition down here and we had a blast getting to share the love.  Their Local 2 Belgian Ale made a strong showing thanks to the addition of honey to help smooth the beer out.

Join us this upcoming Thursday, October 29th, for a tasting featuring fresh and wet hop ales!  Every year breweries will take hops straight off of the bine and get them into the kettle while they’re still wet and packed full of oils.  This allows brewers to get vibrant, juicy, and resinous hop characteristics that aren’t always as present when the hops have been dried for later usage.  These styles only come around at the beginning of hop harvest season so don’t miss out on these specialties!

If you’ve been following the South Carolina beer scene closely, then you’re probably familiar with Revelry Brewing out of Charleston.  This small 10 barrel brewery has been churning out hit after hit and has quickly become a favorite down near the coast.  Join us on Friday, November 6 as we welcome them to Crafted!  We’ll have 4 of their tasty beers on tap to help show everyone just how unique, creative, and delicious their beer is.
