Thanks to everyone who came out for our Kolsch tasting this past Thursday evening!  With spring weather finally starting to tease us, this German-style Blonde Ale makes the perfect companion for a day in the sun.  All three of the offerings we had on hand made strong showings but the classic Reissdorf blew the competition away thanks to incredible drinkability.

The fantastic COAST Brewing out of Charleston will be in the store on Friday, April 3rd, from 5-7 PM for a tap takeover featuring some of their best brews, including the famous Boy King Double IPA. Drew will be here to talk about all things COAST and we’ll have a few pint glasses on hand to give away with growler fills. This is one event you won’t want to miss.

Greenville Craft Beer Week is looming on the horizon and we’re extremely excited about our event for the week – a tap takeover with The Unknown Brewing Co onFriday, April 24th!  Stop in any time between 5-7 PM to taste some fantastic year round and summer brews from this young brewery.  We’ll be joined by Emily who’ll be ready to answer all of your questions and keep you updated on all of the great beer they’ve got coming in the future.

If you’re looking for a new beer for your weekend make sure you stop in and check out the 2015 Oskar Blues Gubna.  This spring and summer Imperial IPA has always been a favorite around Crafted and this year they’ve kicked the recipe up a notch.  Gubna 2015 has been dry-hopped with El Dorado, Comet, and Chinook for a dank and citrusy nose with a bitter but smooth finish.  We don’t think you’ll be disappointed with the changes!

We’re excited to be able to help fill your beer needs now and in the future.  If you’ve got any beer suggestions or ideas, or any feedback, we would love to hear it!  Keep an eye out for more emails in the future with updates about events, new beers, new kegs, and more!  If you’d like daily updates and information about kegs as they’re tapped, make sure to like us on Facebook or follow us on Twitter.

Thanks again,

Thanks to everyone who came out for our third beer & cheese pairing event last night!  We had a great turnout and huge successes with all of the pairings.  Green Man Porter with blue cheese was the most popular of the night due to how well the two complement each other.

Join us this upcoming Thursday, March 26th, from 5-7 PM for a kickoff to spring featuring Kolsch style beers!  These light and super drinkable German blonde ales make the perfect companion for the warming weather.  If you’re looking for something to quaff on the back porch while you grill or after you’re done mowing the grass then look no further.

Thanks to everyone who came out for our Belgian IPA tasting this past Thursday!  We’ve been huge fans of the style ever since our first Green Flash Le Freak.  The Musketeers Troubador Magma impressed with its delicate balance of hops and true Belgian Tripel characteristics.

Join us this upcoming Friday, March 20th, from 5-7 PM for our third beer & cheese pairing event!  We’ve got several great pairings lined up for the evening and we think people won’t be disappointed.  We’ll feature a Porter, a Biere de Garde, a Sour, and an IPA.  Cheeses will stay a secret until the event – we don’t want to ruin the surprises!

After several requests for another bottle share Sunday, March 22nd, seemed like the perfect time! Just like last time, the admittance fee is a bottle.  We aren’t looking for you to bring all of your DANK WHALEZ, just a beer you’d enjoy sharing with others.  We’ll close at 5 PM that evening and begin tasting shortly afterward.  Space will be limited so RSVP on Facebook or to us soon!

Thanks to everyone who joined us for our Blowing Rock tasting this past Thursday evening!  The brewery just launched in our area and we loved getting to share them with everyone.  Their Black IPA was the hit of the night with a great balance of roasted malts and hops.  If you’re ever in Blowing Rock, NC be sure to stop by their restaurant and try some of their special releases that don’t make it out of that area!

Join us this upcoming Thursday, March 12th, from 5-7 PM for a tasting featuring Belgian-style IPAs!  This variation on the IPA features Belgian yeast for pronounced dryness.  Belgian IPAs often drink like a cross between a Belgian Tripel and an IPA.  Join us any time during the two hour tasting window and enjoy this delicious crossover style.

If you’re a fan of barrel aged beer, this week brought us a special treat just for you!  Lexington Brewing, also known as Kentucky Ales, has just released their new Rye Barrel IPA.  They put their IPA into fresh rye whiskey and bourbon barrels for six weeks.  Vanilla, oak, and rye notes begin to appear as compliments to the fruity and citrusy traits of the hops.

After several requests for another bottle share, March seemed like the perfect time! Just like last time, admittance fee is a bottle.  We aren’t looking for you to bring all of your DANK WHALEZ, just a beer you’d enjoy sharing with others.  We’ll close at 5 PM that evening and begin tasting shortly afterward.  Space will be limited so RSVP on Facebook or to us soon!
