Thanks to everyone who joined us for our Fullsteam tasting this past Thursday!  This great brewery from Durham, NC is inspired by Southern agricultural traditions and it shows in some of their unique brews.  Their Carver Sweet Potato Lager and Rocket Science IPA were two of the more popular of the night thanks to their approachability and flavor.

Join us this upcoming Thursday, March 5th, from 5-7 PM for a tasting featuring Blowing Rock!  This North Carolina brewery is new to our area and we wanted to share them with everyone.  We’ll have their three core cans available, so come ready to enjoy some high country ale.

If you’ve been following the Bell’s Planets series, this week brought us the fourth beer in the series.  Jupiter is an Imperial Brown Ale featuring seven different malts and a light hopping for balance.  This “Bringer of Jollity” delivers due to the robust, roasty notes throughout.

We’re excited to be able to help fill your beer needs now and in the future.  If you’ve got any beer suggestions or ideas, or any feedback, we would love to hear it!  Keep an eye out for more emails in the future with updates about events, new beers, new kegs, and more!  If you’d like daily updates and information about kegs as they’re tapped, make sure to like us on Facebook or follow us on Twitter.

Thanks again,

Thanks to everyone who joined us and made our Westbrook tap takeover such a huge success!  We thoroughly enjoyed getting to share some fantastic Stouts with everyone, especially during such a cold time of the year.  If you couldn’t make it out, we’ve got plenty of the Brett Rye IPA for growlers – it’s like a step up from their classic One Claw!

Join us this upcoming Thursday, February 26th, for a tasting featuring Fullsteam Brewery out of Durham, NC!  This “plow-to-pint” brewery draws their inspirations from the food and farm traditions of the South.  They also use as many local ingredients as possible to help support Southern farmers.  We’ll have a wide selection of styles on hand, so be sure to stop in any time from 5-7 PM and see what they’re up to!

This week brought us an exciting new IPA in the form of Foothills Jade.  This delicious gem features Pacific Jade hops for tropical fruit forward notes with a clean drinking finish.  Foothills also dry hops Jade with Chinook and Citra to provide a fantastic aroma and flavors.

Thanks to everyone who joined us for our Benford Brewing tasting this past Thursday!  We had a lot of fun introducing everyone to a new South Carolina brewery.  Their Smoked O’Hickory was the biggest surprise of the night with its light smokiness and hints of hickory.

Join us on Friday, February 20th, from 5-7 PM for a tap takeover featuring Westbrook!  We’ve got a few amazing anniversary kegs that we’ve been holding on to for a day like this.  This year’s 4th Anniversary Chocolate, Coconut, Almond Stout will be joined by last year’s 3rd Anniversary Orange Bliss, as well as a keg of Mexican Cake.  All three Stouts will be limited to 32oz growler fills only.  We’ll have swag on hand to give away with each growler fill as well.

We’ve had several questions about pepper beers in the past few months and we’ve finally received one of the most requested labels – Ballast Point Habanero Sculpin.  Ballast Point takes their well known Sculpin IPA and brews it with habanero peppers for a kick of floral heat on the finish.  If you’ve been hunting that next great pepper beer, then look no further.
