We hope everyone had a great Christmas and you’re all gearing up for a safe and fun New Year’s Eve.  We’ll be open normal hours every day except for New Year’s Day when we’ll be open from 1 PM to 5 PM.

We wanted to give a huge thanks to the generosity of the community and our customers.  If it wasn’t for all of you, our 2014 wouldn’t have been as great as it was.  We can’t wait to provide everyone with more fantastic beer and events in 2015 and onward!

Due to both Christmas and New Year’s falling on Thursdays, our tastings will resume on January 8th.  You’ll also want to mark your calendar for our Oskar Blues tap takeover on January 23rd!  We’re still finalizing kegs, but expect to see fan favorites like Ten Fidy and G’Knight along with a few specialties.  We’ll have a rep from the brewery here to talk about everything they’ve got brewing up, and we’ll have some swag on hand to give out.

We’re excited to be able to help fill your beer needs now and in the future.  If you’ve got any beer suggestions or ideas, or any feedback, we would love to hear it!  Keep an eye out for more emails in the future with updates about events, new beers, new kegs, and more!  If you’d like daily updates and information about kegs as they’re tapped, make sure to like us on Facebook or follow us on Twitter.

Thanks again,

Thanks to everyone who made our Ommegang and Boulevard tap takeover a huge success!  We’d also like to give a special thank you to Michael from Duvel USA who took the time to join us for the event.  We had a blast sharing some of our favorites from these great breweries with everyone.  If you’d like to explore these breweries further, we’ve got a great selection of each with even more to come in 2015.  This was our last tasting for 2014, but we’ll come back swinging next year.

As we roll into the week of Christmas, we wanted to let everyone know about a few holiday hour changes.  On Christmas Eve, we’ll be open from 11 AM until 5 PM – just enough time for any of your last minute needs.  We’ll be closed Christmas day and will resume our normal hours the day after.

Westbrook‘s 4th Anniversary beer arrived at the tail end of this week and it’s poised to be another winner.  This year, they’ve taken a 10% Imperial Stout and aged it on toasted coconuts, roasted almonds, and vanilla beans, to create the perfect dessert in a bottle.  If you’ve kept up with past Westbrook releases like this one you know it won’t last long, so you’ll want to pick it up as soon as possible.

Thanks to everyone who came out for our Christmas tasting this past Thursday!  We hope everyone enjoyed the wide range of styles from winter warmers all the way to old ales.  Great Divide‘s Hibernation Ale gained several new fans thanks to its malty richness and dry-hopped finish.

We’ve got another great tap takeover lined up for Friday, December 19th, with Boulevard and more of the incredible Duvel family!  Join us from 5-7 PM that evening as we taste a lineup of Boulevard as well as a few of the Ommegang Game of Thrones brews.  This will be a great pre-Christmas event so bring in your guests to taste some new brews!

If you’ve ever asked us for IPA recommendations, you’ve probably heard us say Dogfish Head 75 Minute several times.  This occasional rarity is a blend of 60 and 90 Minute with maple syrup that is then bottle conditioned.  Dogfish Head also dry hops 75 Minute with whole-leaf Cascade to help create this complex but velvety smooth treat.
