Thanks to everyone who joined us for our Movember / No Shave November tasting this past ThursdayHoly City‘s Chucktown Follicle Brown came out of the gate swinging, pleasing even the pickiest of drinkers.

Join us this upcoming Thursday, November 20th, from 5-7 PM for a wet hopped ale tasting!  We’ll have a selection of three great seasonal / limited release brews that all focus on one important ingredient – hops.  Wet hopped ales feature hops that have been picked off the bine and added to the brew kettle within 24 hours without drying the hops.  The goal is to keep as many of the oils and as much of the hop flavor as intact as possible.

This week brought us several special releases from Stone Brewing Co just in time for the cold weather.  Their newest twist on their Smoked Porter features chocolate and orange peel for a semisweet, citrus nuanced porter reminiscent of a chocolate orange ball.  Stone‘s Lukcy Basartd has also joined our shelves for the first time.  This special “Basartd” is a blend of their famous Arrogant Bastard, Double Bastard, and Oaked Arrogant Bastard.
