Thanks to everyone who joined us for our saison tasting this past Thursday!  This quickly growing style provides a lot of freedom for brewers to experiment.  The biggest surprise of the evening was Stillwater‘s dark saison, A Saison Darkly.  Roasted malts along with Rose Hips, Hibiscus, and Schisandra berries gave it qualities closer to a spiced stout.

Join us this upcoming Thursday, November 13th, from 5-7 PM for a No Shave November / Movember tasting!  Since both of these great causes are going on this month, we wanted to help bring some awareness to them.  Join us as we taste a selection of brews all picked for the glorious facial hair on each label.  If you’d like to learn more about either cause, please visit their websites at – both were created to help raise awareness for men’s health.

This week brought the arrival of Uinta Brewing, a new brewery for the Upstate to enjoy!  They’ve been brewing in Salt Lake City, Utah since the early 90s.  So far four of their labels have made their way into the Upstate, including two of their organic brews – Baba and Wyld.  Stop in and pick up a few cans and be on the look out for more arrivals from them in the future!
