Thanks to everyone who came out for our Porter tasting this past Thursday! We hope people had fun exploring some new options for the upcoming fall and winter weather. Sierra Nevada‘s Porter tends to get overlooked compared to their other labels but gained quite a few new fans that evening.
Join us this upcoming Thursday, October 16th, from 5-7 PM for a Belgian-style Abbey Ale / Dubbel tasting! Dubbels were originally called abbey ales since they were brewed at abbeys for consumption by the monks. This rich malty style features a light sweetness from the Belgian candy sugar that is used in brewing.
This week brought us a very special fan favorite in a new larger bottle – Lagunitas Sucks! If you’re a hop head and haven’t experienced Sucks then you’re missing out. Lagunitas originally released it as a replacement for their Brown Shugga after running out of the capacity to brew it that year. This “joyously dry-hopped” treat has the huge aroma and resinous hop finish to please any IPA fan.
