Thanks to everyone who came out for our wheat beer tasting! We thought they’d be a great fit for the summer, plus it was a good chance to show everyone just how versatile they can be. Everyone was surprised that Lagunitas Lil Sumpin Sumpin is classified as a Pale Wheat Ale because of how hoppy it is.
Join us this upcoming Thursday, June 26th, from 5-7 PM for a World Cup / USA vs Germany tasting! We’ll have an American Wheat and Pilsner up against a German Wheat and Pilsner. Will the same country “win” both or will it come out as a draw? Stop in any time during the 2 hour window and help us decide!
We get a lot of people that come in asking for different “spiced” or “peppered” brews and this week brought us one brewed with wasabi – Dogfish Head‘s Rosabi. This Imperial Pale Ale uses wasabi for the herbal and bittering notes that are similar to hops, as well as a subtle heat. If you’re looking for something different and willing to take the jump, pick up a bottle and let us know what you think!
We’re just over a month away from our anniversary and that means it’s time to get another charity raffle rolling! Entries are $5, just like last year, and each entry gives you a chance to win a box of twelve limited releases from this past year. We’ve included a list of local charities on each entry because we want you to decide where the donation should go each year. There’s no limit on the number of entries per person and we have a full list of brews here at the store.
We’re excited to be able to help fill your beer needs now and in the future. If you’ve got any beer suggestions or ideas, or any feedback, we would love to hear it! Keep an eye out for more emails in the future with updates about events, new beers, new kegs, and more! If you’d like daily updates and information about kegs as they’re tapped, make sure to like us on Facebook or follow us on Twitter.
