Thanks to everyone who came out for our fruit beer tasting!  Everyone that originally didn’t seem interested went into it with an open mind and came out of it pleasantly surprised.  Several people had their first chance to try a Lambic, and it ended up being a hit.

Join us this upcoming Friday, February 28th, from 5-7PM as we welcome Will and Meredith of Brewery 85 back to Crafted! Unlike last time, Brewery 85 is now up and operational so we’ll be pouring Will’s beer instead of his favorites. Drop in any time during that two hour window for a chance to try everything they’re currently brewing while picking their brains about the brewery. We’ll have our hands on a few glasses to give away with Brewery 85 growler fills while supplies last.

This week brought us several special new arrivals, including the introduction to Sierra Nevada’s Harvest series for the year.  Sierra Nevada has taken their popular Northern and Southern Hemisphere Harvest IPAs and added three more into the series – Single, Wild, and Rare.  They’re kicking the year off with the Single Hopped IPA featuring the experimental Yakima #291 hop. This hop features huge floral and berry aromas.  This new release is sure to please any hop head.

We’re excited to be able to help fill your beer needs now and in the future.  If you’ve got any beer suggestions or ideas, or any feedback, we would love to hear it!  Keep an eye out for more emails in the future with updates about events, new beers, new kegs, and more!  If you’d like daily updates and information about kegs as they’re tapped, make sure to like us on Facebook or follow us on Twitter.

Thanks again,

Due to our recent snow fall, last week’s tasting has been postponed to this upcoming Thursday, February 20th, from 5-7 PM.  Join us for a selection of different ales that feature fruit.  We’ll taste several different styles, including a lambic, so don’t discount this tasting because you “don’t like fruit in your beer.”If you haven’t had a chance to try anything from Brewery 85 yet, we’re still cycling through their kegs.  Be sure to let us know which ones are your favorites so we can bring them back more often.  If you’re looking for a chance to try everything they’re brewing up at once, join us on Friday, February 28th, from 5-7 PM for a tap takeover!  We’ll have all three of their current offerings on tap, and the fine folks from the brewery will be here so you can pick their brains.

This week marked the release of the highly sought after Foothills Sexual Chocolate.  This cocoa infused Imperial Stout makes waves each year due to its wonderful balance of chocolate, coffee, and dark fruit notes.  If you’re a fan of Imperial Stouts, this is another one you won’t want to miss, especially with it only releasing once a year!  We received a very limited supply, so there will be no holds and we’re placing a limit of one bottle per customer/family.

Thanks to everyone who came out for our Oatmeal Stout and Porter tasting this past Thursday!  We thought it would be a fun way to help warm up after our snow days throughout the week.  Great Divide‘s Oatmeal Yeti was a delicious twist on an old favorite and we hope you enjoyed it as much as we did.

Join us this upcoming Friday, February 7th, from 5-7 PM for a tap takeover featuring Thirsty Dog out of Ohio!  We’ve got a few really special kegs that you won’t see anywhere else and might not run into again for quite a while.  If that isn’t reason enough to come hang out and try some delicious free beer, we’ll also have glassware to give away with Thirsty Dog growler fills while supplies last.  This is one event you won’t want to miss.

Congratulations to Brewery 85 for officially opening their tap room today!  We hope the turnout is huge and they blow it out of the water.  This should also hopefully mark the arrival of their kegs so we can start filling your growlers with more South Carolina beer!
