Thanks to everyone who came out for our beer and chip pairing this past Thursday evening!  We had fun seeing how well some of the pairings actually worked and hope people found a few new options to enjoy during the Super Bowl.  Thirsty Dog Old Leghumper with BBQ chips was one of the favorites, even for people who aren’t the biggest Porter fans.

Join us this upcoming Thursday, January 30th, from 5-7 PM for a free tasting featuring Oatmeal!  Since the weather is continuing to stay cold, we thought now would be a great time to enjoy some of the different Oatmeal Stouts and Porters that are out in the market.  We’ll have a great selection of both favorites and special variations on some classics.  Come on out and warm up with some great beer!

If you’re looking for a fun way to finish off your January, our beer pairing dinner with Arizona’s Grill & Drinkery in Simpsonville has a few seats left!  This event is at 7 PM on Wednesday, January 29th, and features a great lineup of food and beer.  If you’d like to take a look at the menu and make reservations, please visit http://conta.cc/KazAHK.  You won’t be disappointed!

We also have a small number of spots available for our bottle share this upcoming Sunday, January 26th, at 5 PM.  If you’ve got a bottle of something rare, aged, unavailable in this area, etc., that you’d like to share with some other beer fans then let us know and we’ll save you a spot!

We’re excited to be able to help fill your beer needs now and in the future.  If you’ve got any beer suggestions or ideas, or any feedback, we would love to hear it!  Keep an eye out for more emails in the future with updates about events, new beers, new kegs, and more!  If you’d like daily updates and information about kegs as they’re tapped, make sure to like us on Facebook or follow us on Twitter.

Thanks again,

Thanks to everyone who came out for our Barleywine tasting this past Thursday evening.  We brought out Barleywines from several different years and enjoyed seeing how they aged with everyone.  We hope we helped introduce a few people to a style they might have avoided in the past.

Join us this upcoming Thursday, January 23rd, from 5-7 PM for a small pairing event featuring chips and beer.  We stumbled upon a list of beers and types of chips that would pair well together and thought it would be a great way to prepare for the Super Bowl.

This week marked the return of Stone Brewing Co.‘s fantastic Enjoy By IPA series.  Enjoy By is brewed to be enjoyed as fresh as possible and is named for 30 days after the bottle date.  If you’re looking for a super hoppy, super fresh, consistently great IPA, then you’ll want to grab one of these while they last.  We’ve got both bottles and growler fills available and hope you’ll join the enjoyment.

Our upcoming bottle share had to be moved back a week to Sunday, January 26th, at 5 PM.  If you’ve got something rare, limited, or unavailable in this area, and you’re interested in joining we still have spots available.  Call us or drop in and let us know that you’d like a spot and we’ll get you added to the list.

The upcoming beer pairing dinner on Wednesday, January 29th, with Arizona’s Grill & Drinkery is nearing quickly.  Join us there for an awesome five course meal with a different beer pairing for each portion.  If you’re interested in looking at the menu and making reservations, please visit http://conta.cc/KazAHK.  Seats are limited and going quickly, so you’ll want to get your spot soon!

Join us this upcoming Thursday, January 16th, from 5-7 PM as we taste a selection of Barleywines.  We’re still at the tail end of winter and these big beers are perfect for helping fight off the remaining cold.  This also tends to be the typical release time for Barleywines and we’ve got a few that are fantastic to share with everyone.

We’ve got two more great events in store for the rest of this month.  First up is a bottle share on Sunday, January 19th, at 5 PM.  If you’ve got at least a bottle of something rare, not found in this area, etc, and you’d like to share it with other beer lovers, let us know soon because spots are limited.  We’ve also got a beer pairing dinner on Wednesday, January 29th, with Arizona’s Grill & Drinkery in Simpsonville!  If you’d like to see a course list and make reservations online, please visit http://conta.cc/KazAHK .  Reservations can also be made by calling the restaurant.  Seating is limited, so you’ll want to secure your seat as soon as possible!

We hope everyone enjoyed their holiday season and that you’re all ready to kick it back into high gear for 2014!  We’ve got tons of great events coming up and now’s the time to mark your calendar and be prepared.

First up is a tap takeover with Quest Brewing Co out of Greenville this upcoming Friday, January 10th, from 5-7 PM.  We’ve had them in before, but we wanted to bring them back along with some of their seasonal and one-offs.  We’ll have a keg of their new Saison as well as their seasonal Pecan Porter.  To round out the selection, we’re bringing back two of their year-rounds.  If you’ve wanted to know more about their brewing and what they’ve got going on, you’ll also have an opportunity to talk to some people involved behind the scenes.  There will be glassware on hand to give away with growler fills as well.

We’re going to be partnering up with Simpsonville’s own Arizona’s Grill for a beer pairing dinner on Wednesday, January 29th. The event will feature a five course meal with a different style of beer paired each step of the way.  Seats will be limited to around 25 and ticket pricing and availability will be available shortly once everything has been readied.

On Sunday, January 19th, we’re going to host a small bottle share event starting at 5 PM.  This will be a closed event with a limit of 15 people.  If you’re interested in coming, please call us or drop in and let us know because we’re going to close off the list once we hit capacity.  The entry fee will be a bottle of something rare, limited, unavailable in this area, etc.  You’ll have priority on any bottle you bring in order to make sure things are fair depending on what gets brought.
