We hope everyone had a fantastic Christmas and that you’re getting ready for another fun New Year’s Eve.  We’ll be open normal hours on New Year’s Eve, but will only be open from 1 PM – 5 PM on New Year’s Day.

Tastings are still on hold until 2014, but we’re going to start the new year off with a bang.  Join us on Friday January 10th from 5-7 PM for a tap takeover featuring Greenville’s own Quest Brewing!  We’re still finalizing our keg choices with them and will have a few surprises in store.  We’ll also have some swag to give away with growler fills, so this is one you won’t want to miss!

If you’re looking for something special to enjoy for the new year we’ll be tapping a keg of Weyerbacher‘s Heresy, a bourbon barrel aged Russian Imperial Stout.  This seasonal favorite clocks in at 8% ABV and has tons of flavor.  We’ll have this ready for growler fills when we open at 11 AM on New Years Eve.

We’re excited to be able to help fill your beer needs now and in the future.  If you’ve got any beer suggestions or ideas, or any feedback, we would love to hear it!  Keep an eye out for more emails in the future with updates about events, new beers, new kegs, and more!  If you’d like daily updates and information about kegs as they’re tapped, make sure to like us on Facebook or follow us on Twitter.

Thanks again,

Sunday, Dec 22nd:  12 Noon – 6 PM
Monday, Dec 23rd:  11 AM – 9 PM
Tuesday, Dec 24th:  11 AM – 5 PM
Wednesday, Dec 25th:  Closed – Merry Christmas!

Thanks to everyone who joined us for our tasting of American Belgian-style ales!  We hope we helped introduce people to a few styles they’re not as familiar with and everyone found a new style to explore.  There are lots of fantastic Belgian ales from several countries, so make sure you check them out as well!

There will not be a tasting this upcoming week due to Christmas, and we hope everyone has a great holiday.  Our tastings will resume on January 10th with a tap takeover featuring Quest Brewing!  They’ve been brewing up a storm since they opened in July and we’re excited to introduce everyone to some of their new releases.

If you’re a fan of Westbrook you’ll want to make sure you get your hands on a bottle of Orange Bliss, their Third Anniversary Chocolate Orange Stout.  This brew uses the same Imperial Stout base as their famous Mexican Cake but replaces the peppers with chocolate and orange.

Thanks to everyone who joined us for our Railhouse tap takeover yesterday!  We’d also like to give an extra shout-out to Lisa from the brewery and Matt from the distributor for taking the time to be there and share some great beer and stories with everyone.  They’ve got a few more labels headed our way shortly and we can’t wait to share them with everyone.

Join us this upcoming Thursday, December 19th, from 5-7 PM for a tasting featuring American Belgian-style ales.  Great Belgian ales aren’t just coming from Belgium – there are several fantastic breweries in the US using their styles to great effect.  We’ll be running through a wide selection of different styles and breweries.  We’ve got a few favorites in mind along with at least one that should be a surprise for most of our tasters.

Christmas is closing in fast and we’ve got some great selections for the beer geek in your life.  Stop in and take a look at our selection of gift packs and introduce someone to a new favorite brewery, or let them get reacquainted with a classic.  We’ve also got gift cards available in any denomination you’d like.

This week brought us several new seasonals, including one that is brand new for the brewery.  Dogfish Head Piercing Pils is a brand new pilsner, infused with pear juice and white pear tea.  The use of the pear is to ‘pierce’ the spicyness of the Czech Saaz hops used in brewing.  Thirsty Dog‘s 12 Dogs of Christmas isn’t a new label for them, but is a new label for us this year.  This Winter Warmer uses honey, cinnamon, ginger, and nutmeg to help create the perfect libation for the season.

Thanks to everyone who joined us this past Thursday for our winter warmer tasting that featured several fan favorites, including Highland Cold Mountain and Anderson Valley Winter Solstice.  The weather decided to play a joke on us by warming up for the event, but these ales make perfect companions for when the temperature drops back down.Join us this upcoming Friday, December 13th, from 5-7 PM for a tap takeover with Railhouse Brewery from Aberdeen, NC!  We’ll have two of their kegs on tap and another two of their brews served from bottles.  They’ll have a representative here so you’ll be able to ask questions and find out more about the brewery.  We’ll also have swag to give away with select purchases of their beer!

This week brought us the holiday favorite Highland Cold Mountain and it’s going fast.  At this point, we’re down to bombers and the remnants of our keg.  If you’re looking to stock up for the rest of the season, you’ll want to get your hands on Cold Mountain as soon as possible.  We’ve also received Quest Brewing’s newest creation – Pecan Porter!  This smooth drinking Porter finishes with a lingering nutty aftertaste and makes a great companion for dessert.
