Thanks to everyone that joined us this past week for our Extra Special Bitter tasting.  We hope we helped dispel the myth that ESBs are “extra bitter” like the name might imply.  There were a few surprises in a few of our selections, especially The Trooper from Robinsons.

Join us this upcoming Friday, October 11th, from 5-7 PM for our next beer and cheese pairing event.  Last time was a huge success with several people finding new styles and cheeses that they thought they “didn’t like.”  We’ll have several different selections this time around to help keep things exciting and to help in finding a few more favorites.  This event will be free just like all of our other tastings so be sure to invite your friends!

This week brought us several exciting stouts for fans of darker beer and the upcoming winter seasonals.  Brewery Ommegang partnered with HBO for the past season of Game of Thrones and has created a line of brews inspired by the show.  Take the Black is a stout inspired by the Night’s Watch and is “deep, dark, and complex like those who have sworn the oath to defend Westeros.”  This week also marked the return of Founders ever popular Breakfast Stout.  This double chocolate coffee oatmeal stout is packed full of flavor and is perfect to help you warm up as it gets cooler outside or with your breakfast.

We’re excited to be able to help fill your beer needs now and in the future.  If you’ve got any beer suggestions or ideas, or any feedback, we would love to hear it!  Keep an eye out for more emails in the future with updates about events, new beers, new kegs, and more!  If you’d like daily updates and information about kegs as they’re tapped, make sure to like us on Facebook or follow us on Twitter.

Thanks again,

Carl & Vance
