Thanks to everyone who joined us this past week for our pumpkin tasting!  We tried to offer a nice wide variety of styles just to show how diverse pumpkin beers can truly be.  A few of our selections surprised those who made it out, especially the ACE cider.  Fan favorites like Southern Tier Pumking should be returning within the next few weeks, so keep an eye out if you want to stock up.

Join us this upcoming Wednesday, October 2nd, from 5-7 PM for a tasting featuring Extra Special Bitters, or ESBs.  A large portion of people have assumed that ESBs are extremely bitter because of their name, but they’re actually a well-balanced style with low carbonation and a nice malt profile.  Join us as we help break the misconception and introduce everyone to another balanced drinkable style.

This week brought us another fantastic brew for IPA fans with Green Flash Green Bullet.  This triple IPA is named after one of the two New Zealand hops they’ve used.  This was originally their 9th Anniversary release but was so popular that they’ve brought it back as a new seasonal.  Green Bullet is packed full of tropical citrusy flavor and one you won’t want to miss.

We’re excited to be able to help fill your beer needs now and in the future.  If you’ve got any beer suggestions or ideas, or any feedback, we would love to hear it!  Keep an eye out for more emails in the future with updates about events, new beers, new kegs, and more!  If you’d like daily updates and information about kegs as they’re tapped, make sure to like us on Facebook or follow us on Twitter.

Thanks again,

Thanks to everyone who came out for our Sierra Nevada seasonal tasting this past Wednesday! Along with their seasonal selections, we introduced everyone to the black Belgian-style IPA from their beer camp this year.  A large portion of people had never seen or heard of the Narwhal before and enjoyed their introduction to this imperial stout.

Join us this upcoming Wednesday, September 25th, from 5-7 PM for a pumpkin tasting!  We’ll have selections from all over the US that cover both ends of the pumpkin beer spectrum.  There are a lot to choose from so we’re still in the process of narrowing down our final selections.  Be on the lookout for an update to our Facebook event for more details.

For you Porter fans, Victory Red Thunder is a barrel aged Baltic Porter that you’ll want to come get your hands on.  Victory has taken their Baltic Thunder and aged it in once-used red wine barrels from Wente Vineyards in California.  This imparted the Porter with a little dryness from the wood and some extra fruitiness.

Thanks to everyone who came out for our Oktoberfest tasting this past Wednesday!  We picked a few different Oktoberfest brews from around the world so everyone could see how different regions prefer the style.  Paulaner Oktoberfest was the most popular overall, but the US had strong contenders with the Thomas Creek and Highland seasonal offerings.

Join us this upcoming Wednesday, September 18th, from 5-7 PM and taste through a selection of limited seasonal releases from Sierra Nevada.  They’ve brought out a wide selection of fall seasonals this year, and we’re interested in seeing which ones are keepers.  These cover a wide range of styles, so come ready to taste lots of different flavors.

The new arrivals this week were fantastic for fans of fall beers and sours.  Four new Pumpkin ales and three Octoberfest ales joined our shelves including Thomas Creek Pumpkin ale and RJ Rockers Gruntled Pumpkin for our fans of local brews.  If you’re a fan of sours, Vanberg & Dewulf Lambickx is a blend of lambics from 2011 that was just bottled in 2013.

We’ve gotten our hands on one of the Sierra Nevada Beer Camp releases for the year – a Belgian-style Black IPA.  This IPA features Sorachi Ace and Nelson Sauvin as well as Belgian yeast to help emphasize the fruitiness of the hops.  We’ve just tapped the keg, so come in for a chance at a limited release from Sierra Nevada.

Thanks to everyone that came out for our Thomas Creek tap takeover on Friday!  We had a blast and enjoyed seeing everyone.  A special thanks to both Josh and Weston from Thomas Creek who had interesting stories and great information on their brews to share with everyone.

Join us this upcoming Wednesday, September 11th, from 5-7 PM for a tasting featuring a selection of Oktoberfest brews from around the world.  We’ll have both traditional German selections as well as the American take on the style.  Come see how different breweries and regions like to celebrate!

This week brought us two special limited arrivals along with a large selection of new seasonals.  Stone‘s Gotterdammerung is their 17th anniversary IPA featuring a selection of German hops and pilsner malts.  As per usual with Stone and their IPAs you won’t want to pass this up if you’re a fan of IPAs.  Our other new special arrival for the week is Founders Mango Magnifico, the newest release in their Backstage Series.  This mango fruit ale is also brewed with habaneros for a little extra kick.  Due to how limited Mango Magnifico is, we’re going to have to limit it to one per customer and can’t do any holds.
