Thanks to everyone who came out for our Thomas Creek Chocolate Orange IPA tasting!  We found some distinct flavor differences between the two even though the recipe hasn’t changed, so we thought everyone would enjoy a chance to find out for themselves.  Opinions on which was better seemed to be split 50/50, depending on if people liked more citrus or more maltiness.

Our free tasting this upcoming Wednesday, May 29th, from 5-7PM will feature our new arrivals from Railhouse Brewery.  They’re a small brewery from Aberdeen, North Carolina, and we thought this would be a good way to introduce everyone to them.  They have a few more labels that we didn’t bring in this week, but if everyone enjoys what they’ve got to show then we’ll have to bring them in sooner rather than later.  Join us any time during that two hour window to get a sample of their Mastiff Oatmeal Stout, Ka-Bar Brown, and Pale Ale.  We can’t wait to hear what everyone thinks!

We’ll be open normal hours this Memorial Day weekend.  If you need some last minute beer for your cookout on Monday, or for whatever other reason, be sure to drop in.  Just in case you’ve forgotten, this means we’ll be open 1PM – 5PM on Sunday and 11AM – 9PM on Monday.

This week marked the return of Westbrook Mexican Cake.  We’re down to the wire with our shipment, and only have a bottle or two remaining.  If you wanted a chance to try this anniversary Imperial Stout brewed with habanero, you’ll want to come in immediately.  This stout is making huge waves amongst stout fans, and in the beer trading community.
