Thanks to everyone who joined us last night for our Anderson Valley tap takeover!  We still have a little left in a few of their kegs, but overall everything was a hit.  Their Bourbon Barrel Stout aged in Wild Turkey barrels was one of the best barrel aged beers we’ve had so far.

Our next tasting will be something small this upcoming Wednesday, April 3rd from 5-7PM.  This will be in preparation for our Founders tap takeover on Friday, April 12th.  We haven’t finished working out all of the final details on what we’ll be pouring quite yet, but we’ll keep everyone updated with everything we know.

This week was a special week for new arrivals.  We’ve finally added Evil Twin Brewing to our shelves as a result!  We’ve had a lot of questions about their Biscotti Break, and now that we’ve found a distributor our chances will only be higher.  We’ve started things off with a bang from them regardless, especially with Even More Jesus, and the Femme Fatales.  This week also marks the return of Bell’s Oberon, and the arrival of some limited releases from Lagunitas.

We’re excited to be able to help fill your beer needs now and in the future.  If you’ve got any beer suggestions or ideas, or any feedback, we would love to hear it!  Keep an eye out for more emails in the future with updates about events, new beers, new kegs, and more!

Thanks again,

Thanks to everyone who came out for our second shot at using the Randall.  It went well, but wasn’t as much of a flavor success as the first time.  We’re still looking for more ideas, so if you’ve got some thoughts about flavors that might work well, be sure to let us know!

This upcoming Friday, 3/29, from 5-7PM we’ll have Anderson Valley here for a tap takeover.  We’re going to have some great stuff from them, including a few selections that you don’t see too often.  One of the special kegs we’re going to have is their Wild Turkey Bourbon Barrel Aged Stout.  We’ll also have some swag to give away with growler fills from the brewery.  We’re looking forward to seeing everyone here!

Brewery Ommegang’s collaboration with HBO and Game of Thrones arrived this week.  Come in and pick up a bottle of Iron Throne Blonde for the season 3 premiere next week.  It could also be a great companion for reading the books in the series if you’re doing that instead.  We also brought in Stevens Point Root Beer this week for anyone that’s looking for something non-alcoholic every once in a while.

We’re excited to be able to help fill your beer needs now and in the future.  If you’ve got any beer suggestions or ideas, or any feedback, we would love to hear it!  Keep an eye out for more emails in the future with updates about events, new beers, new kegs, and more!

Thanks to Will and Meredith from Brewery 85 for coming out to have a Meet & Greet with us, and thanks to everyone that came by, too!  We had a blast, and can’t wait to feature their beer on tap.  There are some great things brewing in the upstate, and we’re glad we could help share part of that with you.

This upcoming Wednesday, March 20th, we’ll be breaking out our Dogfish Head Randall again.  Come join us for some great beer experimentation as we infuse yet another brew with even more flavor.  Following that, we’ve got a tap takeover on March 29th with Anderson Valley.  Many of you know them from the Winter Solstice this year, and we wanted to show everyone that they’ve got some other fantastic releases too.  We’ll be getting a special keg of their Wild Turkey Barrel Aged Stout just for the event, so you won’t want to miss out.

This week brought in a lot of new arrivals from New Belgium, including the 2013 release for La Folie.  La Folie is a very highly rated and regarded sour, and it tends to go pretty quick.  We also received another one of Avery’s limited release IPAs, the Maharaja and, if the duganA is any indication, this one won’t last long either.  For our cider fans, we brought in a collection of apple ciders from Windy Hill out of York, SC.  All of their ingredients are local, and the orchard is family owned.

We’re excited to be able to help fill your beer needs now and in the future.  If you’ve got any beer suggestions or ideas, or any feedback, we would love to hear it!  Keep an eye out for more emails in the future with updates about events, new beers, new kegs, and more!

Thanks to everyone who came out for our Great Divide tasting this past Wednesday!  It was a lot of fun, and we think some people found a few new favorites.  Their Claymore Scotch Ale was easily one of if not the most popular and has flown off of our shelves.

Be prepared for our tasting this upcoming Friday, March 15th, because we’re going to have the crew from Brewery 85 here for a meet and greet.  We’ll taste a selection of four inspirational beers (since we can’t use their pilot brews because of laws) and talk shop with the upcoming brewery.  Once they have a distributor and have started brewing, we hope to do another similar event with their beer instead.  It’s guaranteed to be a good time, and it’s not every day you get to talk to a head brewer.  Come on out from 5:30-7:30, and make sure you bring some friends because they won’t want to miss out.

This week marked the arrival of two seasonal session beers, Victory Swing and Founders All Day IPA.  Both of these beers are a little lower in ABV, but are still full of flavor.  With the weather we’re having this weekend, these would be a great way to enjoy some of your favorite craft beer all day without things getting out of control.  We also got two new gluten free beers in this week from Green’s in Belgium.  They’re both well reviewed, and we’ve heard good things from some of our gluten free friends about them.  If you get a chance to give them a try, be sure to let us know if we should keep them in stock and/or pick up more of their labels.

We’re excited to be able to help fill your beer needs now and in the future.  If you’ve got any beer suggestions or ideas, or any feedback, we would love to hear it!  Keep an eye out for more emails in the future with updates about events, new beers, new kegs, and more!

Thanks to everyone who came out for our tasting experiment with beer blends.  There were a few misses involved, but a lot of hits in terms of surprising combinations.  We hope everyone had as much fun as we did.  Our next tasting will be this upcoming Wednesday, March 6th, from 5-7PM and we’ll taste a selection from Great Divide.  Come on out and join us for another good time.  You should also go ahead and mark your calendar for the following Friday, March 15th, because we’re having Brewery 85 come out to join us for a special event.  We thought everyone would like a chance to pick Will’s brain to get an early look into what has inspired their brews and what propelled his love of craft beer.  Come on out from 5:30-7:30 for a meet and greet event along with a tasting of those inspirations.

This week, we finally received Omission Lager from Widmer Brothers.  This is another gluten free beer with a super low PPM count instead of being sorghum based.  Unlike the sorghum gluten free beers, these are supposed to actually taste like normal beer.  If you’re looking for something gluten free, give this a try and let us know what you think of it compared to some of the others.

Stone Enjoy By IPA finally hit our area with their most recent batch, 4.1.13.  If you’re an IPA fan, this is the one to find.  They’ve made it specifically to be “enjoyed” super fresh, and have given it a very specific shelf life to compliment this.  There’s no guarantee this will come back to our state, so you’ll want to get it before it’s gone.  We still have bottles left, and just tapped our keg this morning.  They’re sure to go quick, so don’t let it pass you by.

We’re excited to be able to help fill your beer needs now and in the future.  If you’ve got any beer suggestions or ideas, or any feedback, we would love to hear it!  Keep an eye out for more emails in the future with updates about events, new beers, new kegs, and more!
