Thanks to everyone who came out this week for our Rogue tasting.  We used the last of our mead along with 3 other “Grow Your Own” organics, and we found a few pleasant surprises.  Our next tasting will be on Wednesday, Feb 27th from 5-7PM and we’ll taste a selection of blends.  We were given a list of blended beers that produce some fun results that we thought people might not have had before.  One example of a blend is the “Dirty Peach” from RJ Rockers where you mix Son of a Peach with Bald Eagle Brown.

This week was a crazy week for new beer from Dogfish Head.  This week alone, we received 4 new selections, and 1 returner that people have been trying to find.  Burton Baton is a mix of two different threads of beer that have been barrel aged – it has consistently been called a favorite by several of you.  Another huge arrival is a new shipment of 75 Minute brewed with maple syrup.  We’ve also finally gotten our hands on Dogfish’s collaboration with Sierra Nevada called Rhizing Bines.  Bines is hopped using Dogfish’s method, followed by being thrown into a Sierra Nevada torpedo to further hop it.  It also uses an experimental hop that hasn’t even been named yet.

We’re excited to be able to help fill your beer needs now and in the future.  If you’ve got any beer suggestions or ideas, or any feedback, we would love to hear it!  Keep an eye out for more emails in the future with updates about events, new beers, new kegs, and more!

Thanks again,

Thanks to everyone who came out to join us for our first attempt with the Randall!  We had a lot of fun, and based on what people were saying they’re looking forward to more.  We’re currently thinking about having one of these events every month or two, so keep brainstorming to help us out.  Besides, it’ll be more fun if we take some of your crazy ideas and bring them into reality.

For our tasting this week, we’ll be sampling Rogue’s Chatoe/Farms/GYO beers that we have.  Expect to see 19 Colonies Mead, Good Chit Pilsner, Roguenbier Rye Ale, and OREgasmic Ale.  This entire line is made with organic ingredients grown on Rogue’s own farms.  Come on out February 20th from 5-7PM for the tasting, and give these a try.

Our allocation of Foothills Sexual Chocolate is starting to run low.  If you wanted to try and get a bottle of this limited Imperial Stout, now’s your chance!  Here’s their description of it if you’d like to know a little more:  “A cocoa infused Imperial Stout – Opaque black in color with a dark brown head. Big chocolate aroma with notes of espresso, blackstrap molasses, dark sweet toffee and dark fruit. Smooth dark chocolate backbone with complex notes of coffee, dark toffee and dark fruit.”  Supplies were limited this year, so there sadly won’t be any on tap.  Sexual Chocolate is currently limited to one per customer, and there are no holds so you’ll have to come in and get it.

We’re excited to be able to help fill your beer needs now and in the future.  If you’ve got any beer suggestions or ideas, or any feedback, we would love to hear it!  Keep an eye out for more emails in the future with updates about events, new beers, new kegs, and more!

Thanks to everyone who came out for our Highland tasting!  We had a blast, and enjoyed sharing some interesting beer from them with you.  The whiskey barrel aged Oatmeal Porter seemed to be a hit, or at least something people were glad they tried.  We’ll keep trying to have a brewery-centric tasting on a Friday once or twice per month.

Our next tasting will be this upcoming Wednesday, 2/13, and we’ll be trying out our new Randall.  For those of you who don’t know what a Randall is, it’s an “infuser” made by Dogfish Head.  You can use it to run beer through hops, coffee beans, and so forth.  This will infuse flavor from whatever you’re using into the beer for an extra kick.  We’ve been throwing around a few ideas with some of you on Facebook, and we’ll be giving one of those a shot.  This will be a learning experience in using the Randall, and we hope you’ll join us from 5-7PM.

We’re excited to be able to help fill your beer needs now and in the future.  If you’ve got any beer suggestions or ideas, or any feedback, we would love to hear it!  Keep an eye out for more emails in the future with updates about events, new beers, new kegs, and more!

Thanks again to everyone who came out for our Mad River Brewing tasting this past week, even with the weather at the time.  This upcoming week, we’ll be having our tasting on Friday, Feb 8th, from 5-7PM.  We’ve got something great planned, but we’re making sure we can get our hands on everything we’re looking for before we announce it.  You definitely want to make it to this one.

We brought in another shipment of the Brooklyn Brine / Dogfish Head Hop Pickles this week for Super Bowl Sunday.  If you’re grilling out, don’t miss out on these – they’ve been made using Dogfish Head 60 Minute IPA.  They’ve also got a little bit of habanero so they’ve got a bit of a bite to them.  We also brought in another keg of the Thomas Creek Dirty Monk for the game.  It was a huge hit when they were here for a tap takeover, and we thought people might want another shot at it.

Since Sunday is the Super Bowl, we’ll be extending our hours.  Instead of our usual 1-5PM, we’ll be open from 11 AM until 5 PM.  If you need some last minute beer for the game, that’ll be your best chance at getting something.  We’ll be ready and waiting!

We’re excited to be able to help fill your beer needs now and in the future.  If you’ve got any beer suggestions or ideas, or any feedback, we would love to hear it!  Keep an eye out for more emails in the future with updates about events, new beers, new kegs, and more!
