Thanks to everyone who came out for our Gose tasting this past Thursday!  Despite the fan favorite Westbrook Gose being present, Sixpoint’s Jammer made a strong showing thanks to a huge coriander presence.  These salty sour wheat ales were all perfect summer companions.

There are a few tasting changes coming this week as well as a few new events that we’re excited to share with everyone!

We’re sorry for the short notice but our Birds Fly South tasting had to be moved to Friday, May 29th.  We’ll taste several of Shawn’s tasty Belgian-style beers from 5-7 PMthat evening.  Stop in any time during the two hour window for a chance to pick Shawn’s brain while checking out one of the Upstate’s next upcoming breweries.  This is one event you won’t want to miss!

Sixpoint Brewery recently launched in South Carolina and we wanted to help give everyone a proper introduction with a tap takeover!  On Friday, June 5th, from 5-7 PMwe’ll have all of their core beer on tap for tasting and growler fills.  Stop in any time during the two hour window and see what the Mad Scientists from Brooklyn are up to.

Join us this upcoming Thursday, May 21st, from 5-7 PM for a tasting of Off Color Brewing’s bottles!  This small brewery out of Chicago is brewing up some unique ale, from the uncommon Sahti to their take on Saisons.  Join us any time during the two hour window for a chance to taste four of their currently available bottles.

It’s almost time for our third anniversary!  Beginning on the 1st of June, we’ll start our annual charity basket raffle.  Entries are $5, just like last year, and each entry gives you a chance to win a box of limited releases from this past year.  We’ve included a list of local charities on each entry because we want you to decide where the donation should go each year.  There’s no limit on the number of entries per person and we have a full list of brews here at the store.

On July 11th, we’ll be joined by Brewery 85 for our anniversary tap takeover!  We’ll have several of their kegs on tap for your enjoyment as well as a cask!  There will be door prizes throughout the day and we’ll finish the day by drawing the winner of the charity basket.  We’ll post more details about event time, beer selection, and catering soon, so be on the look out!

We’re excited to be able to help fill your beer needs now and in the future.  If you’ve got any beer suggestions or ideas, or any feedback, we would love to hear it!  Keep an eye out for more emails in the future with updates about events, new beers, new kegs, and more!  If you’d like daily updates and information about kegs as they’re tapped, make sure to like us on Facebook or follow us on Twitter.

Thanks again,
