Thanks to everyone who came out for our Bell’s Brewery tasting this past Thursday!  Their Two Hearted Ale is always a fan favorite, and we hope we converted a few people into Oberon fans for the summer!  We still have a few Amber and Best Brown posters remaining so let us know if you’d like one.

Join us this upcoming Thursday, April 17th, from 5-7 PM to taste beers from one of America’s oldest breweries, Anchor Brewing.  This San Francisco brewery is well known for their Steam Beer but they have other great beers that are well worth trying.  As always, the tasting is free.

This week marked the arrival of Green Man Brewing from Asheville, NC!  They’ve been brewing since 1997 and have a great lineup!  For now, we only have their three core beers in bottles (IPA, ESB, Porter), but we hope to have their seasonals whenever they roll around.  We’ll also have kegs of theirs cycling through from time to time.  Give their bottles a shot and let us know if there’s anything you might like to see on tap!

We’re excited to be able to help fill your beer needs now and in the future.  If you’ve got any beer suggestions or ideas, or any feedback, we would love to hear it!  Keep an eye out for more emails in the future with updates about events, new beers, new kegs, and more!  If you’d like daily updates and information about kegs as they’re tapped, make sure to like us on Facebook or follow us on Twitter.

Thanks again,

Thanks to everyone who came out for Thomas Creek Beer School!  We had fun hosting Josh and Weston from Thomas Creek and hope everyone learned a thing or two.  If you haven’t been out to Thomas Creek recently, now’s a better time than ever to stop by so you can see their new taproom.  Greenville Beer Week has been a lot of fun and we can’t wait to see what next year brings.

Join us this upcoming Thursday, April 10th, from 5-7 PM for a tasting featuring Bell’s Brewery from Kalamazoo, Michigan!  You may know them for their Two Hearted Ale, but their entire catalog is full of winners.  We’ll have both seasonal and year-round offerings that are perfect to enjoy during the spring and summer time heat.

As part of the continuing Greenville Beer Week festivities, we’ve tapped up a keg of Quest‘s new Makara Double IPA.  Makara is the first DIPA to come out of Quest and features Citra hops.  Quest has brought this one in at 8% ABV and kept it extremely well balanced and drinkable.  This keg won’t last long so don’t wait for the end of the weekend to come get a growler filled.

Thanks to everyone who came out for our River Dog tap takeover!  We want to give an extra thank you to Josh, their owner, for stopping in to help us reintroduce their brews to everyone.  Their Hop ‘n Honey Wheat blew people away thanks to the local honey they used.  While Josh was here, he informed us that they’re currently working on canning plans and that we should see cans arriving sometime this year!

Greenville Beer Week starts on Monday and there are some great events around town all week!  Join us on Friday, April 4th, from 5-7 PM for Thomas Creek Beer School.  We’ll have one session starting at 5 and one starting at 6, but you’re welcome to join any time.  We’ll have Josh here from the brewery to run the classes involving the wide range of styles they brew.  Be sure to check out greenvillecraftbeerweek.com for more information.

Our first delivery of Dogfish Head 60 Minute IPA arrived this week!  If you’ve ever had their 90 Minute IPA, you can think of this one as the little brother.  60 Minute isn’t quite as hoppy but is insanely drinkable.  If you’re looking for a new IPA to try, make sure you give this one a shot.  It’s primed and ready to become a new fan favorite.

Join us this upcoming Friday, March 28th, from 5-7 PM for a River Dog tap takeover!  This will be River Dog‘s second tap takeover with us and we’re excited for their return.  They’ve been working hard to expand their lineup with even more amazing brews and we can’t wait to share some of them with you.  Join us and their owner Josh for some free samples before you fill your growlers.  This is guaranteed to be a great time and you won’t want to miss out!

We tapped our first keg of River Rat Brewing this past week and hope you’ll all welcome them to the South Carolina beer scene with open arms.  This new brewery in Columbia is brewing up some great stuff and we plan on trying to rotate through all of their brews so you can get a chance to enjoy all of them.  If you’re looking for a delicious easy drinking red to enjoy then you’ll be extremely pleased with the Broad River Red.

Greenville Craft Beer Week is coming up soon and we hope you’re all getting prepared for some fantastic events.  If you visit http://greenvillecraftbeerweek.com/ you can find a list of everything going on that week, including our Thomas Creek Beer School on Friday, April 4th, from 5-7 PM.  We’ll have classes starting at 5 and 6 PM, but you’re welcome to jump in at any point.  Our event will also count as a location for the Greenville Beer Week Untappd badge.

Thanks to everyone who came out for our “Smoke” tasting this past Thursday!  We grabbed a wide variety that all featured smoke in varying levels to help ease people into the style.  Fort Collins Z Lager was a huge hit and easily a crowd favorite.  We hope we helped expand a few palates!

Join us this upcoming Thursday, March 20th, for a tasting featuring rye beers.  Rye is appearing a little more often and we thought people would enjoy getting an introduction to them.  If you’ve had Westbrook‘s One Claw, you’ll have a good idea of the spicy rye characteristics that tend to shine in these brews.  We’ll have One Claw along with three other great rye beers for you to taste Thursday, so don’t miss out!

Mark your calendars for the following Friday, March 28th, from 5-7 PM because River Dog Brewing will be back in the house!  Last time Josh was here, we introduced everyone to the brewery and had a blast.  He’ll be here again pouring four completely different brews that are all rather new for them.  This takeover is sure to be a hit and we can’t wait to see everyone that evening!

Join us this upcoming Thursday, March 13th, from 5-7 PM for a tasting featuring smoke/smoked beer!  We’ll have a wide variety of different styles that have had different ingredients smoked.  Smoke can drastically change the flavor profile of a beer, or compliment the other flavors featured in the brew.  Come on out to see just how unique smoked beer can really be!

You’ll want to mark your calendars for Friday, March 28th, for a tap takeover featuring River Dog Brewing!  Join us and their owner Josh from 5-7 PM for a tasting featuring several of their new brews.  Their portfolio has been constantly evolving and we can’t wait to reintroduce everyone to their new lineup.  As a little sneak peek, we’ve tapped their new Belgian Amber for growler fills this weekend.
